How an allocation happens
Identify a gap
Staff review a scholar's approved needs and the money available for them.
Request an allocation
A staff member records the amount, the scholar and the reason.
Approve separately
Another administrator reviews the request. Approval moves existing funds into that scholar's account.
Account for the spending
Actual purchases follow the spending approval process. Moving funds is not itself a payment for goods or services.
Latest recorded allocations
Transfers of existing money to published scholars. These are allocations, not new gifts.
